Easy Peasy Fancy Mac-N-Cheese
Spur of the moment Mac-N-Cheese does not have to be boring and tasteless. All you need is a box of Kraft Mac-N-Cheese Family size and your choice of fun.
Easy Peasy Fancy Mac-N-Cheese
1 Family size Kraft Mac-N-Cheese (other brands taste horrible and have little or no possibility of tasting good)
1/2 cup butter (the real stuff, salted not that fake stuff that is mostly water and taste like it)
1 cup half n half or heavy cream (not 2 % milk might as well have water) can also use half sour cream and half milk
1-2 cups of shredded sharp cheddar (or what ever shredded cheese you have in the frig)
Optional:
Things to add to your mac-n-cheese, if you like, it is going to be awesome
Jalapenos, sliced
Sun Dried Tomatoes, cut up
Feta Cheese
Bacon, fried and crumbled
Bring water to boil and add macaroni out of box. Cook a full 8 minutes before draining.
Put butter in bottom of kettle before putting cooked macaroni back in kettle. Return to burner on medium heat. Stir in milk, powdered cheese and shredded cheese. Stir until melted. Add extras at this point or serve them on the side like a Mac-N-Cheese bar so the family can customize to their taste.
This will be a family favorite and nothing like a one pot meal with a side of tossed salad.
Mac-N-Cheese pictured is Mediterranean with sun dried tomatoes and feta cheese added. Have fun experimenting. Let me know how it works out.
Also, you can heat your left over mac-n-cheese by frying it in butter the next day until crispy brown. This is also delish and your family will eat every last drop.
