Grilled Spicy Bison Burgers
Grilled Spicy Bison Burgers
Makes 4 burgers patties (1/4 lb)
This recipe was developed by my hubby to fit his and my oldest daughter's taste. Everyone that has the privilege of sinking their teeth into this burger just drools with pleasure as their taste buds are hit in waves of flavor.
Ingredients
1lb - Ground Bison (or beef for less flavor)
1- Poblano, finely minced
1- Habanero, finely minced
1/2 cup - Shredded Gouda Cheese
1/2 t - salt (fresh ground)
1/2 t - pepper (fresh ground)
Wear prep gloves while making this recipe to keep from getting pepper juice on your fingers. (Not saying that it last for a long time on your hands even with washing hands well but will last about a day. )
Put all ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands.
Take a scale and divide the mixture into 4 portions.
Have 5 pieces of wax paper ready to put between burgers until you grill.
Using a burger press shape your burgers, after removing them from the press I like to place thebetween 2 pieces of wax paper and flatten them until about 1/4 inch thick.
Place in refrigerator until ready to grill. Making them the day before makes the flavor even better.
These burgers can also be frozen and unthawed at a later time before grilling and be still delicious.
Heat grill to 375 degrees.
Grill each burger 3-4 minutes on a side for medium done/no red
