Day Two of Death To Bugs

The death of bug saga continues, I will remove the creepy little 4-8 legged creatures from my home, yard, and pets.  I have decided to stick to the natural course for at least a cycle of a flea's life to see if I can remove them.

Yesterday, I first sprayed the yard with the Beer, Dawn soap, and Apple Cider Vinegar mixture.  The yard smell very clean for the whole day.  Just a side benefit.   We also noticed that while eating supper out at the picnic table we did not get eaten alive by flying bugs.  No bug candles are needed.  Amazing.

FiFi was next to be bathed in the mixture.  She was none to happy to be bathed and then spend five minutes with the soapy mess on her fur before she could rinse.  However, her coat is very soft and glossy after she dried.  She also is not scratching constantly.  She refused to eat the Brewers Yeast tablets so I sprinkled them on her food.  Much to her unhappiness.  However, she has started eating her food.

Max didn't seem to mind his bath.  He does not like the five-minute soak time but that's just a dog for you.  He also has very soft and glossy fur.  He loves his Brewers yeast tablets (found at Walmart for about $4 for 250 tablets).  He thinks they are a treat and will do tricks to get them.  He gets 15 a day.

I sprinkled two and a half cans of salt over all the carpeted areas.  It will be left on for 48 hours then vacuumed up.  I will then vacuum daily for a week to make sure I remove all eggs from the carpet.  The vacuum must also be cleaned daily to ensure no fleas are left in the vacuum.

I have not seen a flea in 24 hours, so fingers crossed this method is working.  Cost so far for this method: $16

Have a wonderful Sunday fill with relaxation, friends, and family.
