Izetta's Italian Sausage Meatballs
This recipe is a result of my husbands love for Italian sausage and my youngest daughters dislike for onions in her food. These meatballs are very easy to make and cook quickly. They pair nicely with my Jesus Sauce and any pasta.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground Italian sausage
1/2 Tablespoon of Italian seasoning
4 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs (any brand will work, I use store brand)
2 eggs
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated into each other. I find that using my hands to mix it works best.
Make your meatballs about 1" round. Add to a hot skillet with 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil. Cook all sides of the meatball until uniformly browned (if they start to burn turn the heat down to allow them to brown nicely). Do not overcook they will dry out. They only need to cook until no pink in the middle.
Serve with sauce and pasta. Good sides are Ceasar salad, garlic bread, and sauteed broccoli.
